Distant Planets

We know so much
about distant planets
stars and dust

Whent the comet comes
we make preparations
pointing the big laser beam
ready to break through

inside the ocean
there's a world we've never known
where creatures think not of us
pillaging their home

A man inside a starship
sees the world as a whole
no borders, no separation

the scientist in the lab
prays to God before he sleeps
that when he wakes up from his dreaming
his faith and work will make peace
